BSc(Hons) Ost., DO
Andy graduated from the European School of Osteopathy in 2003. He was principal of his own clinic and responsible for supervising junior osteopaths for eight years.
He initially trained as a Marine Engineer. His experience in the Royal Navy has given him an understanding of how systems integrate to work as a whole. This insight informs his work with the human body. If one piece of equipment in a ship is broken it has a knock-on effect on the working efficiency of the whole ship; the human body works in much the same way, both emotionally and physically. We can’t have a physical injury without emotional change and vice-versa.
Andy teaches osteopaths and other body workers in the UK and internationally. He also has experience in martial arts and yoga.
Andy's classical approach to osteopathy means he is confident treating a wide range of patients: from old to young, including pregnant women, children, acute injuries, and maintenance of long-term conditions. Andy makes use of a broad spectrum of osteopathic techniques, from the direct structural to the more subtle cranial, tailoring the treatment to the individual.
