We are open

COVID-19 update 5 January 2021

As a healthcare provider, we are exempt from closure and can carry on treating most patients with exception of cosmetic acupuncture patients. Below are some questions you might have and the answers to them.

If you have any other questions or concerns, please email us at or or call us on 01480435554 and leave a message.

Yes, COVID-19 lockdown legislation classifies all medical appointments as a legitimate reason for leaving your home. This includes osteopathy, acupuncture and hypnotherapy appointments.

You will be pleased to know that we haven't had any confirmed COVID-19 cases at the clinic. We will continue to use the highest level of infection control measures as we have done throughout this pandemic. To find out how we keep you and our staff safe, please scroll down.

Yes, we can offer a virtual appointment during which we can teach you some simple self-help techniques for the relief of pain, to improve sleep, reduce stress and other symptoms. If you are interested, please email us requesting a virtual appointment.

Yes, we can still see you if the benefits of your treatment are expected to outweigh the risks. We will carry out a risk assessment taking into account your individual circumstances, the nature of your symptoms and your wishes. If we think that your treatment is too risky, we will discuss this with you and may suggest ways on how to minimise the risks. Alternatively, we may suggest delaying the treatment or booking a virtual appointment instead. At all times your wishes will be taken into account and the final say will be yours.

Our COVID-19 infection control measures

We are taking every possible precaution to keep you and our staff safe.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is worn by all practitioners when providing treatments in close proximity to the patient. This includes a face mask, gloves, an apron and eye protection (for aerosol generating procedures).

All patients will be asked to disinfect their hands on arrival and will be provided with a face mask to wear throughout the consultation. Please watch the videos below about correct hand disinfection techniques and how to put on and take off surgical masks.

Extra time is allowed between each appointment for thorough disinfection and ventilation of the rooms. When you arrive, please do not enter the clinic; wait outside and we will come out and invite you in when we have completed the disinfection process and are ready to see you.

All linen has been removed to reduce the risk of spread of infection. Please wear loose comfortable clothing that can be easily rolled up. For some treatments you may need to undress to your undergarments, so you might want to wear sports or swimming style underwear to feel more comfortable.

Our reception room and reception support services are temporarily unavailable. We will re-introduce these as soon as it is safe to do so. When telephoning us, please leave a message and we will get back to you as soon as we are free.

For patients who are unable to attend in person we now offer Telehealth (virtual) appointments during which we will teach you simple self-treatment techniques to manage your symptoms.

To reduce the need for handling of cash or cards, patients are asked to pre-pay online or over the phone before or soon after each appointment. Thank you for your understanding.

We are pre-screening all patients before each appointment. Those patients who have COVID-19 symptoms or have been in contact with someone positive for COVID-19, or those who need to self-isolate will be asked to postpone their appointment.
